I was wondering what other people's experience is with the HK 450, so I created this thread.

I will start of with mine:

HK 450 GT Pro
Turnigy E500 4000kv - 11T pinion (otherwise headspeed is too high) Plenty of power.
HK 40Amp ESC
3xSavox SH-0254 Cyclic servos
HK401b Gyro with Savox SH-0262MG tail servo (busy replacing hk401b with Assan GA-250 MEMS gyro)
Align parts
Tail boom
Main and auto gear
Canopy
Orange FASST 8ch Rx with Futaba 7C Tx
Turnigy 2200mah Lipo - 7-9 min flight time.
FG HK Blades
Rest standard.

This heli is still my favourite and have the most confidence with it. Done 100 flight since 1 April 2011. Only had to replace tail bearings so far. For the price this must be one of the top CF 450 one can get.

The 450 machine is an excellent machine. I have two of them of which one is always in some state of repair :). It is an excellent machine to practise on. I used mine to practice my heli proficiency.

I have the V2 (drooling over the pro version) and I had to do a couple of changes to the heli to make it good, but still good value for money.

Good luck with your thread

Just a pretty face.
Nothing between the ears.

Hi I put a spare bare bone together from here for R1150-00 without battery and receiver. With nice long training gear and those light practice golf balls on the ends makes for a nice trainer. Also a newbie to helis I also have the GT Pro and have just put one of the GY520 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Qb-YIQ4H_s a video instruction I found )gyros on and seems to be working great thanks wifly. And there is all the goodies ordered for the third heli ,this is more conageous than the flu !!!!
cheers

I too have a HK450 Pro - Belt-drive tail.
Turnigy Typhoon 450H 2215H Heli Motor 3550kv 11t pinion
Turnigy Plush 30A ESC - Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 30C Lipo Packs
Align DS510 Rudder servo
Savox SH-0257MG servos on cyclic (originaly Hitec HS65MG)
Microbeast Flybarless with V3 firmware

I conveted it to flybarless by modifying the original head.
The mod is fairly simple.
I've compiled step by step instruction in Word format, if anyone's interested.

I'm really happy with the heli. It is sooo stable and predictable.
Getting about 6 minutes of fairly agressive flying at 2800 head-speed.
(Flybarless contributes positively in so many way!)
I previously flew a Trex 450Pro for quite a while... until it was stollen out of my car...
