Good motor for HK 450
Bought this motor for my HK 450 Heli. Loads of power.
Excellent combination with the Tower Pro 40A ESC. Motor gives 4000 Rpm per Volt resulting in 44 000 RPM at full speed.

Turnigy E500 for HK 450 GT Pro
I bought two of these E500. Run with HobbyWing 40Amp ESC and not a minute's hassle in my HK 450 GT Pro. Luke warm after moderate 3D. 6 min on 2200mah Turnigy battery. After 122 flights on the first E500 is still running smoothly, my second E500 is still in it's wrapper. Execelent motor for 450 heli. This is more a 400w than the rated 200w specs. I highly recommend this motor.

Not for me
I purchased this motor for my Blade 400. It fitted perfectly but that is where my apprciation for this motor ends. i matched this motor to a Dynam 40 AMP ESC and later to a Scorpion Commander Series (programmable) 45 AMP ESC. On all occassions the heli cut out in mid air and both the ESC were too hot to touch. My batteries used were Hyperions 35c, Turnigy and Kokams. I used used 11t pinions. I reset and fiddled with pitch and throttle curves, checked for binding, removed the canopy but still the same problem. The motor looks like a gem but will destroy your batteries sooner than later. Perhaps I bought a dud ? At one stage I swopped an el cheapo 3800kv motor for the Turnigy and lo and behold the el cheapo ran cool and effecient. Perhaps if I purchased the Turnigy 40 AMP plush ESC it might work...

E500 4000Kv for HK 450 Heli
Got this motor for my HK 450 v2 Heli , perfect match. Plenty of power , pulling 18A max in moderate flying , 23A peak in full power punch outs. Flight times 10 minutes on a 2200mAH for moderate flying.

turnigy E500 4000Kv 200W for TREX 450
This motor is great! I bought this motor for my TREX 450 Clone.I fit the motor into my motor mount without any modifications,it fits 100%.The motor comes with 2 sets of different spaced mounting holes on top of the motor,to accomodate most helies.It comes with a 13 tooth pinion.I am running my standard 35 amp ESC.I think this motor takes alot of amps,and I would recomend 35amp or higher ESC and 25C and higher Lipo packs.It has a super smooth spin feeling,and one COOL looking gold couler.I had to bring my Throttle curve settings down because of this abundance of power! Make sure to order some mounting screws,cause it dont comes with it.This is an excelant upgrade motor and I would highly recomend this product.
