Easy to use Lipo Charger
After racing RC cars for many years I was accustomed to battery chargers with an endless amount of setup options and variables that hugely complicate things.
I bought the Accucell6 thinking this was going to be the case with this digital charger and was even afraid to switch the unit on after reading all the LIPO horror stories!
I finally gathered up enough courage, took the fire extinguisher out of my trailer and powered up the Accucell6!
The menu was simple, clear and user friendly, I charged my 1500 packs at the recommended 1C method (thanks Lood for the guidelines) and had upped my fire insurance for nothing! LOL
This charger is so easy to use that I even charged all my Nicad and Mimh packs with it just for fun!
Heck I even charged a 12V Lead acid battery with it while I was busy!
This charger is worth every cent and more!
If you’re thinking about buying one don’t waste your time, add two to your cart because you’ll want another soon after buying the first!

More than good enough
Turnigy has become a world wide phenomenon based on a double value proposition: Great products at the best price… The Turnigy Accucel 6 is no exception and it certainly outperforms so many other chargers sold by the well known hobby stores often at more than 3X the price. These are the same stores that try convince one that R350 is a good price for a battery that even a blind person can tell is a re-branded Turnigy or Zippy that you can purchase on WiFly for R135 - (The Chinese do this all the time – one product 15 brand names…) In fact looking at ads in local and international RC magazines I keep noticing how many UK and US brands are in fact Turnigy’s under different brand names and sold at twice the price.
Back to the Accucel 6 - if you are happy to charge 1 battery at a time than this is the charger for you (although I know people who have charged more than one at a time - the Accucel 6’s rated capacity means that as long as your total output is less than 6 Amps you can probably get away with it).
Usage is instinctively simple and I have used all the programs except the discharge – my batteries get discharged at the field – I think that the life span of my batteries has improved considerably since I got the Accucel 6 – some batteries have close to 100 charge cycles with no apparent problems. I must say though, that I rarely use the fast charge option and I balance charge my batteries every 5 or so charges but I’m more than happy with this unit’s performance.
I have attached a Deans plug as well as the Yellow plug so I can charge either fitting. I generally use a cigarette lighter adaptor cause getting to my car battery would require that I just about dismantle the motor and at home I now have the DC adaptor from WiFly so charging in my kitchen is a pleasure cause it’s so much less of a problem…
If you are looking for a single battery charger that will outlast and outperform all most other brands (hell I suspect most other “good” brands are in fact Turnigy’s under different names) than this is the one to get - Nuff said

All Round Charger
Turnigy Accucel-6
Well as an RC Flyer - This charger is really a good asset to my hobby. Lets have a look at this product.
Look and Feel:
Out the box it gives the impression this is no low budget charger - well I'll say average look :) But on the other side its truly just the right size and easy to use.
Accessories:
Well comes packed with your standard supplies with and XT60 balance cable and connecter for your car battery.
So charging at the field is no hassle at all. Supplying your own DC adapter you can charge straight from the comfort of your home. Down fall for those using Deans is that, it does not come with a dean balance cable.
User Friendly:
First off - It can't get easier to use as this. Plug in choose your desired charge rate and choose between normal charge, fast charge or balance charge. Then choose your battery cell, 3s, 4s, 6s.
And hold start down. Charger checks battery to confirm cells. Accept, sit back and let it do its thing.
Quality:
Outstanding in my view as this charger really works hard on weekends and after months it still does what it has to. Charger fan works great and keeps the charger temp at the rate it should.
Features:
Excellent menu features, Has build in memory so save your settings for your park flyers - next time load plug in and charge. :) Has great safety features which includes max mAh charge + connection breaks and high temp shut down.
Overall:
This charger is great for an entry level and more. Does what is says and really is helpful at the field and home. Charge up till 6s lipo. Design is sleek and functions included is easy to use.
Cons:
Need to buy separate Dean balancer connecter.
Need to buy DC adapter if required.
Multiple battery charging - Not recommended.
