best 8 channel radio for under R1000.00
Got mine 3 month ago with 5 receivers
I am now flying a 40 stick nitro a trojan t28 a arteck cessna 182 and thunder tiger rare bear with it
All as far as my 48 year old eyes can see (that might not be as far as you can see ) never got signal problems
Installed a 1800 life transmitter battery and never got the battery issue the rest got
downloaded the imax manual installed the 1k resistor in the receiver so i dont need to remove my transmitter unit when i want to use as a buddy radio
switched the wiring on the up /down/+/_ switches so when typing your planes name you dont go insane
now i fly with it more than my son for owe i actually bought it he likes my spectrum dx 6i
Still got one problem gan buddy 9x with dx6i with dx6i as master but the signal out put on the dx 6i is to low for the 9x .
9x needs a higher input
maybe 9x will work on 9x .Waiting for my second one then i will try . But never in stock

Great Value
I bought my 9x on the WiFly auction. Yes the battery cover isn't great and yes the Chinglish manual sucks, but I have updated my radio's software to the ER9x custom firmware. This firmware really makes this radio a truly flexible piece of equipment with a VERY good user manual.
Full customization of sounds, back-light, battery warnings, mixes, and much more!
Well worth the cheap price.

Turnigy 9X Review
I bought this on the 23rd or April (receieved yesterday). Upon first putting the batteries in, the battery casing broke, forcing me to TRY tape it up. I eventually got it working long enough to try set it up. First problem: The complete right side of the remote wasnt being picked up, but, as i thought, i was just an unplugged wire so really im not fussed about that. I then went about setting the remote up. I t is, to a certain extent, easy to program. You really should download a proper manual for it as this makes life a lot easier. I really am displeased so at the stupid battery holder. I especially went out and bought Sanyo Eneloop's so that i would just be able to use the remote and not worry about charging so much. For the money, i dont think there is anything that comes close to value, however, there needs to be some serious quality control at the factory.
On another note, anyone know what i can do about the battery holder? (i've tried superglue and cant find another 4*4 AA holder.

You won't find better for the price
The radio was bought in August last year. I use this in my gliders, 40 size planes and model yachts, so far with no problems and no glitches.
The range is spot on, in fact I flew a glider out of sight and had control all the way.
On the down side, a manual would be nice and the language in the software is a bit suspect, but with a bit of patience you will soon figure it out.
In my book this unit scores full marks on value for money!

Value for money
This a realy good looking radio with a nice feel to it in you hand. It is realy easy to change from mode 1 to mode 2. And is very simple to understand and program.
Compatible with the hobbyking v2 receiver makes this one very affordable when buying exstra receivers.
The downside is it comes with no manual and it is quite hard to find a printeble version without the watermark.
Maybe WiFly can in the future supply a manual with every purchase.
Overall very happy I bought this one
